Mascaras! (:

Remember, these reviews are from our experience!

Lashblast

Well, lets start off with one of Covergirl's best and most talked about mascaras, Lashblast! This mascara comes in a thick orange tube, it can be easily spotted in a purse or bag! The unique application comb is very thick & bulky. It's almost impossible to apply it without making any mistakes. This brush will take a while to get used to. The bristles are quite small. And this mascara has a pequliar scent to it, but isn't that noticable. It volumizes and lengthens as promised, and it is appropriate for everyday use. It does not clump or flake, and it seperates quite nicely. It keeps your lashes curled all day and night. There is one flaw with this mascara, and it is removing. It is a pain to remove this mascara, even with eye makeup remover. The waterproof version is practially impossible to remove! But overall, this product is very good, and we recomend it (:

Lash Stiletto

Okay, now were talking (: Everyone knows Maybelliene is the king of mascaras, and this sure proves that. The Lash Stiletto is probably the best mascara invented, in our opinion. The packaging is very creative, the mascara tube itself is supposed to be a stiletto heel. The application comb is very long and thin, and could take some getting used to, but trust us, it's worth it. It gives you amazing length as promised, and that glossy finish. It gives you some volume, but Maybelliene's Collosal is the best mascara for volume. It is appropriate for any special occasion, or even everyday use. You can make it dramatic if you'd like, or add a little for a more natural look. We deffinatly recomend it 100 percent. (:

Colossal

Maybelliene's Colossal Lash mascara gives amazing volume. It doesn't give you the length it promises, but a alittle volume is an understatement. It comes in an attractive bright yellow tube with purple text. The application comb is like any other, if you triple the size. This mascara has a very strong, strange smell. And when we say strong, we mean STRONG. The Colossal Lash has collagen, which gives it it's amazing volume, and it's weird scent. It could be appropriate for everyday use, although most people don't embrace that. This mascara does seperate, and unfortunatly it does flake quite a bit. If you're looking for volume, this is recomended (:

Lash Exact

Lash exact is the best mascara for separating and defining your lashes. This mascara gives your lashes that clean, long, clump free look.  If you are looking for a mascara that can offer more volume to your lashes, lash exact is not for you. Also, don't expect this mascara to hold your curls well. But this is the best mascara for that clean natural look (:

Volume Exact

Volume Exact is like lash exact, but it gives you more volume. This separates well, but not as well as lash exact, it does clump, but it lengthens decently. This mascara thickens better than lash exact. Volume exact is like a step down from lash blast, but it looks more natural than lash blast. Lash blast is definitely a dramatic type mascara compared to lash exact and volume exact. I noticed slight flaking around my under eyes, and this does not hold a curl as well. Other than that, it's one of covergirls best mascaras (:

Lash Eyelights

We were very disappointed with cover girl's exact eyelights. This mascara was made to target your specific eye color and enhance them, so we bought the black pearl one for our brown eyes. It basically looked like a regular black mascara, and it did not have that shimmering effect it promised us. This mascara is a gimmick, and we do not recomend it.

Lash Blast Luxe

At first I thought it was going to be another fail mascara like the eyelights, but it's not. They kept the formula true to lash blast, but added beautiful shimmering colors in them, you have black royale, black emerald, black cabernet and black platinum.  I purchased it in the black platinum, and my lashes sparkles, the sparkles are appropriate for that everyday look, and it really does enhance the eyes. Covergirl should just get rid of exact eyelights and stick to promoting this mascara more. It has the same tube, and application comb as the original, and if you look at this mascara in the light, you can actually see the promised sparkles and shimmers. This mascara is recomended (:

Lycra Lash Extender

This mascara lives up to it's hype for giving you the longest looking lashes and separating them, giving your lashes that fan like appearance. I found this mascara does not hold curls well, my lashes would end up drooping, and there was not much volume to my lashes. But it lengthens and separates so wonderfully, your lashes will look long, and clean. (:

Lash Maxxx

What makes lash maxx so unique is it's application comb. With multiple swipes, you get clean long looking lashes without the clump, flakes and smudges. Similar to lycra lash extender, this mascara offers a bit more volume. Again, it does nothing for curls, but I love it for the fact that it's a buildable mascara that can make your lashes look like falsies.

Full n Soft

The most comfortable feeling mascara. Your lashes are soft and does not feel as hard as other mascaras. This mascara does not flake or smudge and you can touch it up throughout the day without it clumping up! Although this mascara keeps it's word in providing feathery lashes, the lengthening ability is short lived. This is not the mascara to get for lengthening purposes. The waterproof formula is wonderful at sustaining your curls for a longer period of time because it is wax based.

Lash Discovery

What makes this mascara so unique, the fact that it's tiny brushes can coat every single lashes on your eyes, so you don't miss a spot, leaving you with beautiful long lashes. I recommend using this mascara as an after coat, or spot coating the lashes that were not able to be coated due to the fact that many mascara brushes are large, making it hard to get those hard to reach areas.

Lash Stylist

Ok here is the thing with this mascara, it has a comb and it's meant to give that clean separated look, but it doesn't if you do not use the right method. Purchase the waterproof version, the formula is better and it holds the curl longer, and when you apply, do not let it dry inbetween, like the great lash mascara it has to stay wet inbetween coats for you to build it up to your desired length. Granted, this mascara does nothing for volume, but it's amazing for lengthening. Your lashes can look like falsies if you apply it on correctly. Beware, this mascara is a pain in the butt to take off!

Great Lash

The most overhyped mascara on the market. Makeup artist swear by this mascara, but it's only good for photoshoots where you have to spend 20 minutes reapplying coats after coats of this mascara because of it's wet build up, which is not realistic for an everyday mascara. It's cheap, with little ingredients compared to other mascaras on the market, it clumps, it does not lengthen or thicken. In reality, this mascara is considered useless.

XXL Extentions

One of my favorite mascara, this mascara is unique because it has a primer and the mascara built in one tube. First you prime your lashes, the particles in the primer helps fatten and lengthen the lashes after you apply the mascara. This mascara gives amazing volume, not as much as colossal (which we discussed earlier) but it provides better lengthening power and holds a curl better than colossal. This is also a very fun mascara to use, and it's also buildable. My favorite if I want to achieve fatter longer looking lashes. (:

Voluminous

One of my favorite mascaras, I used this a lot when I started to wear makeup. Similar to Covergirl Lash blast, it gives great volume, but little lengthening. But the one thing I love about this mascara, the staying power is amazing. There is virtually no smudges and the curl stays on long.  If you want a mascara that thickens your lashes the best, this is your mascara. It may not hold a curl well or lengthen them, but my lashes looks fat and thick. Perfect for smokey eyes! (:

Double Extend Mascara

This mascara needs more recognition, similar to the Maybelinne XXL, I think it's a little better. I wish I did more tutorials with this mascara, but I'm always losing it. You have to prime first and then apply the mascara.  I swear my lashes are longer by like 70-80 percent, crazy I know. This is one of my favorite drug store mascara.

Revlon Fabulash

You would think a beautiful looking mascara like Revlon's fabulash would deliver beautiful long lashes...but prepare to be disappointed. Revlon may have the best drugstore foundation, but their line of mascaras are pretty mediocre. Fabulash clumps and provides no volume to the lashes. Oh and the wand, it's pretty old fashion and does nothing for separation. This mascara is honestly no good, don't waste your money on this, buy something more like lash blast, or lash stiletto. (:

Revlon 3D

Same like fabulash, the packaging looks beautiful, but I guess we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. This has  similar formula to lash stylist, only it dries faster and is clumpier. The brush is kind of awkward too, in honesty, I think the formula is ok, it's just the brush that makes the application horrible. My lashes looked like a clumped mess!
